Mardi Gras and Sydney World Pride
American Express made waves at Sydney World Pride 2023, coupling the iconic rainbow with their signature blue to encapsulate the spirit of Pride – calling the LGBTQIA+ community to ‘Express Yourself’ by creating spaces and stages to do exactly that, backed by the iconic brand.
The Oxford Hotel underwent a vibrant transformation into Amex House, with high-energy vibes across its four levels, setting an atmosphere of joy, acceptance, and self-expression. Attendees happily danced the night away under disco balls and vibrant displays of colour and light.
The Amex Bar & Lounge at Fair Day extended the uplifting experience, inviting guests to bask in the sunshine and enjoy the good times amid lush tropical foliage.
The Mardi Gras float was just as magnetic – adorned with a dazzling three-sided love heart illuminated in blue glitter and every colour imaginable – made even more spectacular by endless views of a rainbow sea, universal pride, and unconditional love.
Each experience came to life with joy-filled, playful touches to bring the community together in a bold celebration of diversity – undeniably, the life of the party during Sydney World Pride 2023.
