NBA Gallery
The run-up to the NBA’s 2022/23 season was all about building hype. In Australia, that meant celebrating the long-standing support of the fans as much as the game itself.
An immersive exhibition, ‘NBA Gallery’, took over retail precinct EDDY at Sydney’s Central Station, featuring ten local artists’ interpretation of the NBA. The exterior was covered with instantly recognisable branding, using bold touches to draw in passers-by. Once inside, guests explored the minimalistic space where contemporary art met NBA legend, and a dedicated area played a series of short films that captured the rich community aspect of the game. It was a concept that extended to the streets, too, with local artists painting murals in prominent basketball courts, creating the backdrop to stars of the future.
NBA Gallery put fans, community and local culture front and centre. It brought the arts, Australian culture, and basketball together in a passion-filled space where everyone is welcome.
