2021 marks the 15th anniversary for Manning Cartell, as well as the launch of the fashion label’s new brand pillars: individuality, inclusivity, joyful moments, and sustainability & local community. To help celebrate, we were asked to create the Manning Cartell runway show at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 21. 

Guests were sent a digital gift on the morning of the event, creating excitement for the show while cutting down on waste. Upon arrival, we greeted guests with a welcome drink and uplifting bespoke scent made with Hunter Labs, using native botanicals that drew on Manning Cartell’s commitment to sustainability and localism. 

The runway was the main event. We used lighting to convey the Sydney’s landscape, starting with the dark blue hues of dawn and dramatic sunrise, before moving through bright daylight, gold-tinged sunset, and moody dusk. A diverse and confident talent walked the runway, with the lighting and powerful sounds of a live performance from Delta Goodrem complementing the earthy palette of the new collection and creating a joyful experience for the audience. QR codes were placed throughout the space to encourage guests to use the Manning Cartell filter and share their experiences on social media, as well as visit the brand’s blog.

Through all touchpoints, we were able to successfully showcase Manning Cartell’s brand pillars, its new collection, and celebrate everything it stands for.
