American Express

Delicious. Month Out

A dynamic, food-inspired experience, the Amex House whet the appetite and prepared guests for an evening of culinary discovery during the American Express delicious. Month Out.

Popping up across Pitt St Mall and Surry Hills in Sydney, the space invited cardholders to start their night with American Express, serving an immersive aperitif and awakening the taste buds for the foodie adventure to come.

Inspired by the aesthetic of a classic manor home, bold arched windows, custom Centurion detailing, and lush planters tantalised passers-by to discover the Amex House. Entering the space, splashes of deep blue juxtaposed against textural whites; and entertainment from the Amex Music Backer’s program invigorated the lounge, energising guests for a night of gourmet indulgence. LED screens, housed in picture frames, created unexpected surprise and delight moments—capturing culinary creation in motion through intimate, appetising close-ups from local merchants including Fratelli Fresh, Pendolino and Firedoor.

Speaking to the focus on sustainability and closed-circle produce, Amex’s premium concierge welcomed guests with branded thyme seed paper that could be planted and used at home, authentically inviting Amex into consumers’ minds and their homes. Meanwhile, a stylised ‘kitchen pantry’ backdrop featuring floral food installations encouraged content generation and social sharing, extending the experience beyond the walls of the House. Upon wrapping up, the remaining food and florals were donated to Two Good Co., providing for those less fortunate and giving back to the community.
